We are thrilled to announce that our team - The National Facility for Physical Blast Simulation (NFPBS) at the University of Wollongong, Flexiroc Australia Pty Ltd and Stone Security Engineering, USA - has been honoured with the Gene Corley Highly Commendable Paper Award 2023 at the 14th International Conference on SHOCK & IMPACT LOADS ON STRUCTURES (SILOS 2023) in Singapore for our presentation on blast testing of concrete and masonry walls with recycled rubber protective coating. It is a tremendous honour to be recognized by our peers in the field of blast loads and design of innovative protective structures. It was a great honour to receive the award from the distinguished Professor Nobutaka Ishikawa from the National Defence Academy of Japan.
We are proud to have received this award and it inspires us to continue our work in advancing the field of sustainable protective structures. The highly successful R&D project undertaken by the team has led to many commercial opportunities in blast and ballistic protected structures using our cutting-edge Protectiflex technology.
The support of Tyre Stewardship Australia has been instrumental in this success.
